Roundtables: Frequently Asked Questions

To make sure our work meets the needs of activists and movements, Systemic Justice is conducting a Europe-wide consultation in the first half of 2022 to identify priorities for developing litigation projects.

You can find answers to the most common questions about the roundtables below.

Can I attend more than one roundtable?
Unfortunately not. We are only able to invite one participant per organisation to one roundtable, this is to ensure we are speaking to the maximum number of people as possible.

Are the roundtables online?
Yes, all 6 roundtables will take place online, on Zoom, across two afternoons from 14:00-17:30 CET both days.

How do I claim the honorarium for attending?
After the second day of the roundtable you attend, you will be sent a Claim Form to complete and send to accounting@systemicjustice.ngo. The honorarium is 300 EUR per participant, in addition to which you can claim expenses incurred by attending.

What language are the roundtables in?
The roundtables will be delivered in English. However we can arrange live interpretation for your preferred language. You can include any language interpreting needs when you RSVP to the invite. Our Project Coordinator will then be in touch to discuss this with you.

Will there be captioning during the roundtables?
Yes, all the roundtables have English captioning available. You will be given information ahead of the roundtable about how to use this and our team will demonstrate the function upon starting the Zoom session. If you have any other accessibility requests, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Are the roundtables available to listen to?
The roundtables are a closed conversation among activists and community groups and are not open to observers. However, we will be publishing a report in summer 2022 on the outcomes of all 6 roundtables as well as other research we’ve carried out. This will be shared with all participants and on our digital channels.

I can’t attend the roundtables but would like to share my thoughts. What can I do?
We’d still love to get your input. You can send us an e-mail to set up a conversation.

What will you do with the findings from the roundtable discussions?
We will be publishing a report in summer 2022 on the outcomes of all 6 roundtables as well as other research we’ve carried out. This will be shared with all participants and on our digital channels. This research will drive the next stage of Systemic Justice’s work in launching strategic litigation cases.

Something has come up and I can no longer attend a roundtable I registered for. What should I do?
Get in touch with us as soon as possible by emailing roundtables@systemicjustice.ngo. We may be able to invite you to one of our other roundtables instead if there is alignment between your work and the roundtable theme.

I can only attend one day, can my colleague attend day 2 instead?
The roundtables are designed to draw out a fruitful conversation on justice across the two days and the second day activities build on the first. Therefore, we ask that whoever registers from your organisation can attend both days.
