Systemic Justice is the first Black-founded and majority BPOC organisation in Europe to use a community-driven, intersectional approach to strategic litigation. Our majority BPOC team brings lived experience, legal and advocacy expertise, and deep movement-rooted insight. We are here to transform systems: boldly, collectively, and together with the communities whose futures are on the line leading every step of the way.

Nani Jansen Reventlow

She/her

Nani is an award-winning human rights lawyer specialised in strategic litigation at the intersection of human rights, social justice, and technology. She has more than 15 years of experience as a litigator.

 

Prior to setting up Systemic Justice, Nani founded and built the Digital Freedom Fund, an organisation that advances digital rights through strategic litigation in Europe.

Saranel Benjamin

Saranel has over 30 years experience as an advocate for racial, social and economic justice and she is an experienced executive leader. She has worked in international development and philanthropy, and has years of experience working globally with trade union, social movement and community based activists. Saranel specialises in decolonial anti-oppressive approaches to partnerships.

Andreas oversees all aspects of our operations, including finance, administration, technology, logistics, risk and compliance. He also supports fundraising and grant management.

He has worked in the non-profit sector for 15 years in a variety of programmatic and operational functions.

Susheela Math

Susheela has 20 years of post-qualified experience as a lawyer, with a strong emphasis on litigation, equality and human rights. For the past eleven years, she has focused on seeking systemic change, including by leading racial justice work across Europe in her previous roles at the legal programme of a global philanthropy. Prior to that, she established and managed a law centre for whistleblowers in Ireland. Susheela is a member of the Law Society of Scotland’s Equality and Diversity Committee. 

Susheela is passionate about partnering with affected communities and bolstering the collective strength of movements. She oversees three workstreams: building community power and knowledge; co-developing community-driven litigation; and coordinating our legal community of practice.

Jess has over a decade of experience in the non-profit sector, working with organisations across the US, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Jess is responsible for all aspects of financial management at Systemic Justice, which includes strengthening policies that will allow us to be prepare for growth and development, delivering data-driven financial insights to support strategic decision-making, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in accounting.

Domenica Ghidei Biidu

Domenica Ghidei Biidu is an independent strategic adviser, coach and trainer on equity, inclusiveness and diversity. Among others she is also a team coach, freelance consultant, chairperson and keynote speaker in the areas of transcultural and inclusive leadership; diversity management; equal treatment and anti-discrimination on the grounds of gender, race, LGBTQI+, disability and chronic illness from an intersectional approach.

Nivedita Monga is an accomplished humanitarian and development leader with over 25 years of international experience in human rights, gender justice, refugee inclusion, and organisational transformation. Nivedita has held senior leadership roles across the Middle East, South Asia, and Europe. Her expertise spans strategic program design, governance, policy influencing, fundraising, leadership coaching and high-level advocacy with governments, multilateral institutions, and donors.

Wonu Owoade is a fundraising practitioner and resource activist. Wonu is the founder and director of WoW Fundraising Consultancy and has worked in resource mobilisation for fifteen years. She has worked with a range of social impact organisations and initiatives and is an advocate for dismantling inequalities within the philanthropic ecosystem.

Cristina Guerrero Paez

Cristina Guerrero Paez

Cristina Guerrero Paez champions patient advocacy, information provision, and peer support for breast cancer patients and is the dynamic director of the Dutch Breast Cancer Association (BVN). Cristina, born in Amsterdam to Spanish parents enjoys a life with her partner and two daughters, sharing everyday joys together.
